Find Travel Partner is free to join on Android and on the web, and the free plan covers what most people need: a profile, the selfie check, posting trips, asking to join trips, and chatting with travelers near you. Premium is optional and only adds extras like messaging anyone in the world. There is no charge for being matched.

Add your destination and dates to a trip, even rough ones. Explore then lists travelers whose dates overlap yours and shows exactly how many days you would share, plus open trips on those dates you can ask to join. Say hello in a chat, agree on the plan, and meet somewhere public first.

How matching works

No app can promise that a stranger is safe, so we give you the tools to judge for yourself. The optional selfie check puts a blue verified tick on members whose live selfie matches their photos, profiles show real history such as trips taken together and meetups where both people checked in, and you can report or block anyone in one tap. Your email and phone number are never shown, your map pin is your area rather than your address, and a daily check-in is there for when you travel. Read the safety guide before your first meetup.

No. Many members travel solo and want company for part of a trip, but it also works for two friends looking for a third, a host filling the last spots on a group trip, or anyone in a city for a few days who wants one evening out with other travelers. You choose how much company you want: a whole trip, a day, or a single meetup.

Yes. Meetup hosts can set a plan to women only, women can join a city room while staying hidden from its member list, and with Premium you can filter who you see by gender. You can also see whether a profile has the verified tick, and its real trip history, so you know who you are talking to before you agree to anything.

Yes. The website works anywhere, trips can be posted for any city, and the Android app is on Google Play. We have guides for 102 countries today, and the visa checker answers for your passport and destination with a link to the official source. Where there are few members yet, posting your trip early is what brings matches.

You match on a destination and dates, not on looks: there is no swiping, no liking profiles, and no romantic matching. Trips, meetups and city rooms are built for plans, and the Community Guidelines ban using the platform to chase dates, with one-tap reporting when someone tries. The selfie check confirms a face, nothing more.

Yes. When you post a trip you choose a cost style, split equally or "I'll cover my partner", and you agree on the details in the trip chat. The chat has a split-costs tool that keeps track of who owes whom. Money never goes through Find Travel Partner, so pay each other the way you both prefer.

Budget travel guide

No, verification is optional and free. You can browse, post trips, join trips and chat without it. Hosting a meetup or a quick plan needs only a profile photo. The tick shows on your plans as a trust badge, and some hosts limit their plans to verified members, so it opens more doors.

How verification works

It is used for one comparison against your main profile photo, and then we keep only the result. The selfie never appears on your profile and is never shown to other members.

It tells you the person's face matches their profile photos: their live selfie matched their main photo when they checked. It is not an identity or age check (age comes from the date of birth they entered), and it does not tell you what they are like to travel with. For that, look at their profile, their trips taken together, and meetups where both people checked in.

Meet somewhere public the first time, keep the conversation on Find Travel Partner until you are sure, and tell someone at home where you are going. Check the verified tick, turn on the daily check-in while you travel, and block or report anyone who makes you uneasy.

Open their profile or the message, tap the menu, and choose Report or Block. Blocking is instant: they can no longer see you or message you. Our team reads every report. If you are in danger, call the local emergency number first.

An optional one-tap "I'm fine" once a day while you travel. It never shares your location. Turn it on in Settings.

Yes. With Premium you can filter who you see by gender, hosts can set a meetup to women only, and women can join a city room hidden from its member list. Nobody is required to share a room or a cost split they did not agree to.

Anyone within 100 km of you, and anyone who has messaged you first. You can also reply in every chat you already have, and ask to join any open trip. Premium removes the distance limit.

From each person's area on the map, when they share it. If either of you does not share a location, we compare the cities on your profiles: the same city counts as nearby.

No. Your pin sits on your area, never your exact spot, and distance is always rounded, like "3 km away". You can hide how far away you are, pause the map for 24 hours, or switch "Show me on the map" off. Your chats carry on either way.

Yes. In Settings, choose who can start a new chat with you: Everyone (where everyone starts), Verified travelers, or My matches only. Chats you already have always stay open.

Yes. Choose your reading language in Settings, and messages in other languages show a translation. The original is always one tap away.

Starting a chat with anyone in the world, seeing who viewed your profile, unlimited AI trip plans and advanced search filters. Nearby chats (100 km) and chats you already have are always free. Every plan length includes the same features.

Everyone who joins by 31 January 2027 is a founding member, and every Premium feature is theirs, free, until 31 January 2027, whenever they joined. No card, no trial, nothing to cancel: it ends on its own on that date, and your account moves to the Free plan unless you choose a paid one. You are never charged automatically. It is one per account.

Subscription Terms

Where you bought it. On the website: Settings, Membership, Manage subscription. On Android: Google Play, Payments and subscriptions, Subscriptions. On iPhone: Settings, your name, Subscriptions. Premium stays until the end of the period you paid for.

For purchases on the website, see our Refund Policy. Purchases in the app are refunded by Google or Apple under their own rules; we cannot refund those for you.

Yes. Premium belongs to your account, so it works everywhere you sign in, whichever store or card you paid with.

A small public plan in your city, like a food walk, a hike or a match on the big screen. Anyone can join one, and any member with a profile photo can post one, always in a public place. Hosts who are not verified yet are labeled so. Hosts choose who can come: everyone, verified only, or women only.

When you arrive at a meetup, tap "I'm here" to check in. It works within 1 km of the place and around the start time. A meetup where two or more people checked in shows on both profiles as a verified meetup.

One group chat per city for travelers who are there. To keep it calm there is a 30-second slow mode, your first day is text only, and only verified members can post photos. Messages that look like scams are held for review. You can join muted, and women can join hidden from the member list.

Someone you have traveled or met up with and want to keep. Add each other by QR code in person, with your buddy link, or from a trip or meetup you shared. Your buddies light up your travel map.

That depends on where and when you are going. Popular cities on common dates often return matches the same day, while a quiet route can take longer. Posting your trip early and leaving your dates flexible is what makes the biggest difference.

Tap Create, then Post a trip. Add where and when, how many partners you want and how you want to split costs. You can keep up to 5 trips open at once, and edit or close a trip at any time.

Edit or delete a trip at any time. Nothing is booked through Find Travel Partner, so changing your dates costs you nothing here. If you have already planned with someone, tell them in your chat.

Send a short request to the host. It is free. If the host accepts, you get a chat together to plan the details.
