Why we have guidelines
Meeting someone new to travel with takes trust. For that trust to exist, everyone in the community needs to play by the same fair, common-sense rules. These guidelines aren't here to limit you, they're here to protect you, and to make sure every interaction on the platform is honest, respectful and safe.
By using Find Travel Partner, you agree to follow these guidelines. They apply everywhere on the platform: your profile, your messages, and any trips or meetups that begin here. Get them right and you help build exactly the kind of community you'd want to be part of.

Be real
Use your true identity, real photos and honest information. Verification keeps everyone genuine.
Be respectful
Treat every traveler with courtesy and kindness, even when you disagree or aren't a match.
Be safe
Look out for your own safety and others'. Keep conversations on-platform until you trust someone.
Be honest
Mean what you say: about who you are, your plans, and any costs you agree to share.
What we expect, and what's not allowed

Please do
- Use your real identity and keep your profile accurate and up to date.
- Complete verification so others can trust they're connecting with a genuine person.
- Communicate respectfully and accept that not every connection will be a match.
- Meet new partners in public first, and tell someone you trust your plans.
- Be clear about shared costs and honour what you agree with a travel partner.
- Report anything that feels off so we can keep the community safe.
Please don't
- Impersonate anyone or create fake, misleading or duplicate profiles.
- Harass, threaten or abuse other members, or use hate speech of any kind.
- Send unwanted sexual or inappropriate content, or treat the platform as a dating service.
- Scam, defraud or pressure anyone for money, gifts or financial information.
- Spam, advertise or solicit for unrelated businesses or services.
- Break the law or use Find Travel Partner for any illegal activity.
Verification & honesty come first
The single most important guideline is also the simplest: be who you say you are. Our entire community is built on verified identities, and that only works if everyone keeps their profile honest and genuine. Fake profiles, borrowed photos and misleading details don't just break the rules: they break the trust the whole platform depends on.
Honesty extends to your plans and your dealings with others, too. Be straight about your dates, your intentions and any costs you agree to share. When everyone is real and honest, everyone is safer.

How we enforce the guidelines
When someone breaks the rules, we act to protect the community. Depending on what happened, that can mean:

A warning
For minor or first-time issues, we may issue a warning and ask the member to correct their behaviour or profile.

Content removal or restrictions
We may remove content that breaks the rules, or temporarily limit certain features while we investigate.

Suspension
Serious or repeated violations can lead to a temporary suspension of the account.

Permanent ban
For severe breaches (such as harassment, fraud or threats to safety), we permanently remove the member from the platform.
