Why this matters
Plenty of trips are postponed, downgraded or quietly dropped, not for money or time, but for the simplest reason: there was no one to go with. A friend's plans fell through. A partner could not get the days off. Patagonia, the Camino or a month in Southeast Asia slipped another year.
The wish to travel is universal; the hard part is the company. In any given week, people are planning trips to the same places in the same season, with no trustworthy way to find each other.
